Furniture Revival on the North Side

Interior designer Crystal Blackshaw recently opened Chic Antique, a new refurbished/refinished vintage furniture shop in Lakeview, proving once again that grandma’s oldies can look new and fabulous again with some artistic vision and fresh coat of paint. Blackshaw has a selection of completed pieces at her store, and a small nearby studio where you can see (and buy, with your own specifications) her unfinished pieces. Dressers range from $250 to $475; a wingback chair between $350 and $550.
