Flat-Packed Chairs

During a recent visit to Green Home Chicago, I came across this earth–  and wallet-friendly chair. Let’s start with the earth-friendly part: It’s made here, in Chicago, by a mechanical engineer named Mike Foy, out of U.S.-made plywood that he covers in a veneer of walnut or maple (shown here). The chairs come flat-packed and can be easily assembled. Curvy seats make them comfy and a petit scale makes them perfect for a small space. They’d look great with a modern white table—sorta Scandinavian, with a made-in-the-U.S.A. stamp and a reasonable price tag ($175).
