Spotted | 01/10/11Shopping Wisteria
Wisteria is one of those catalogs I receive that often perplexes me. The mix of goods is all over the place and lots of is not my taste. But in nearly every catalog I spy some things I really love, like this wire basket, inspired by French market baskets. I can see it filled with rolled towels. It’s on sale now for $59. I also dig the new feed sack message boards ($59 and $69). —Jan Parr Posted at 12:05 PM in Spotted | Back to all posts |

I totally agree about Wisteria...from end of the spectrum to the other. But always some cool stuff and realistic pricing. Might get that basket for the pool towels at the farmhouse.
for the very reason that you are perplexed, is the same reason why I love Wisteria. So often, home catalogs create a theme from cover to cover, which maybe for some/most, is an easy way to decorate. I know that I recently walked into a friends 'pottery barn' - top to bottom, end to end, it was the PB catalog.
wisteria makes me think. the range of objects are so unique, that I'm left with the challenge of finding that perfect object that fits into my design.
