InBox | 01/12/12Alapash Terrariums
It’s that time of year when the holiday decorations are gone and everything is looking gray and sad. A terrarium is a modern way to bring a little green—and life—to your home. Peruvian native and now Chicagoan Marco Chavarry of Alapash creates simple, lush hanging and tabletop terrariums that are affordable and low maintenance. They feature moss, succulents, air plants, rocks, and in some cases, tiny Buddhas. Chavarry sold a limited number of DIY terrarium kits over the holidays; they were so popular he’ll be shipping them again in early spring. He’s also just launched some vertical gardens featuring moss. See Chavarry’s work at Andersonville Galleria and on his website. —Jan Parr Posted at 8:00 AM in InBox | Back to all posts |
