Obsession | 01/16/12Pillows With Grit
On a recent visit to Michael Del Piero’s Good Design studio, I noticed a big table piled high with ethnic textiles and rug remnants. Del Piero uses these to make amazing pillow covers. A little bit of rough texture can go a long way when you’re curating (yes, curating) your pillow-scape. Here are two off-the-shelf dhurrie-inspired lovelies. Left: Banded Dhurrie pillow, $98 at Anthropoligie, and right: Lands’ End’s Decorative Dhurrie pillow cover in navy, $29.99. Rug shops, such as the terrific Reza’s Rug Gallery in Lake View, often have vintage-rug-remnant pillows as well. —GINA BAZER Posted at 8:00 AM in Obsession | Back to all posts |
