One thing is certain: sitting at desks all day is killing us. Even exercising regularly can’t mitigate the bad effects. But during Neocon this year, I spotted several chairs designed to help. Some are rather nutty-seeming, like a recumbent bike with an attached desk/laptop table. But one company, Varier, represented locally now at Pauline Grace, showed stylish ergonomic, chairs you might actually allow in your house. The Invite (shown here), a new dining chair, is meant to move and rock with you (after all, when you’re eating, sometimes you want to straighten up and paying attention to your plate, other times you want to sit back and relax).
