I just got an email from Pagoda Red about a new line of jewelry they are carrying made by interior designer Margaret Harris (her pieces were previously only available at Barneys New York). An avid collector of Chinese antiques, Harris created the lovely charm bracelets shown above. The way they are photographed—casually sitting on a tabletop—reminded me how much I like it when costume jewelry or beads are used as decoration. Strange Closets blogger and Chicago Home + Garden contributor Tate Gunnerson hung some beads he found at Michael Del Piero’s shop above the desk in his den and it looks awesome. A while ago, we featured textile designer Stephanie Wadell’s house and she hung her jewelry on fun hooks from Anthropologie. If you’ve got it, why not flaunt it?
