Frank Fontana’s Affordable Style

As host and lead designer of HGTV’s Design on a Dime, resident Chicagoan Frank Fontana knows how to swing a budget. His new book, Frank Fontana’s Dirty Little Secrets of Design, offers nearly 200 pages of low-cost, high-style design and DIY pointers for the disgruntled homeowner. Fontana takes readers from room to room, presenting wallet-friendly tricks of the trade, a variety of do’s and don’ts, and one dirty little secret after another. One we love: never forget the entryway necessity, seating! Fontana says that all too often, people forget to create a place for their guests to put on their shoes. Fontana’s book is being published by Stewart, Tabori & Chang, look for it at all major retailers in November. New episodes of HGTV’s Design on a Dime air on Saturdays at 2 p.m. CST.
