Mary Garvey James of Geneva’s 610 Home (one of Chicago magazine’s 2010 Bests) has opened a new pop-up shop, Grand Avenue Living (2246 W. Grand Ave.; 773-818-0430; open Wed.–Fri. 11-7, Sat. 11–6, Sun. noon-5). James plans to keep the shop—which has a similar look to 610 Home but with a slightly more modern bent—open until December 31. Highlights include reclaimed wood settees for $1,400–1,900, sizeable bird and antique silverware prints ranging from $375–$750, and charming vintage and antique mirrors for $450–$1,400. Since James’ own home address is within city limits, she says she hopes to open a full-time, downtown store next spring. —Elizabeth Frantz Posted at 11:31 AM in Spotted | Back to all posts |
