The Malarski home earned an honorable mention in 2010 for interior rehab

Renovating a home is a labor of love, so we think it’s great that Chicago bungalow owners can win $1,000 for their efforts. Each year, the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Bungalow Awards honor homeowners who have shown creativity and dedication in restoring the beauty of their residences. The contest is sponsored by the Historic Chicago Bungalow Association, and has five entrant categories, including entire homes, green design, or small projects. If you own or know of a home that deserves a little recognition, nominate it by November 2. May the best bungalow win!
