Spotted | 09/02/11The DesignSponge Newspaper
Those of us in old media always get sad when we hear that “print is dead,” so when I read about one of my favorite blogs, Design Sponge, coming out with a newspaper, I thought it was pretty interesting. Is it a case of the grass is always greener (while the newspaper industry scrambles to find a way to be more relevant online, could it be that bloggers yearn to produce something more tangible)? Is it a cyclical thing... like after we all tire of reading our iPads and eBooks, we’ll want nothing more than to open up a nice, big, awkward newspaper? Whatever force is at play here, I’m so eager to check out this new “rag.” Copies are being distributed for free at Scout, Sprout Home, and other local shops. Read all about it and find other distribution spots here. Long live print! —GINA BAZER Posted at 8:25 AM in Spotted | Back to all posts |
