Essential Information
35 E. Wacker Dr.
Chicago, IL 312-440-2300 Ellen Bailey Dickson and Robin Edward Whitehurst strive for innovation. “We don’t want to do what’s been done before,” says Whitehurst, the 2002 recipient of the Young Architect Award given by the Chicago chapter of the American Institute of Architects (Dickson won the same award in 1998). The firm works to educate clients who shy away from contemporary design because they are worried about resale value. “Even when you use a traditional vocabulary, you can have a function that’s contemporary,” Dickson says. The firm, which works all over the Midwest, also specializes in historic preservation. Additional InformationWebsite: http://www.bedesign.com |
