About our listings: The professionals and businesses listed here are chosen by the editors of ChicagoHome + Garden. We gather leads from trade magazines, from other professionals in the field, and via word of mouth. Listings are independently reported by Chicago Home + Garden writers; they are not related to advertising.
We include only Chicago-area professionals and businesses that deal directly with the public. Many of the people mentioned here have other talents: furniture restorers often sell antique furniture, furniture makers sometimes do upholstery work, some interior designers have expertise in kitchens and baths.
It’s all knobs (and pulls) at the Knobbery, where items from about 150 makers start at $2 and go up to $100. The stock is peppered with bronze, brass, chrome, satin nickel, and pewter hardware and artist-made pieces. Bathroom accessories are also available.
