Dec 14, 2012British Bash at Martyn GeorgeBy Alice Oglethorpe
Channel your best British-isms and head to Martyn George for its “Holiday Party with an English Accent” on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The owner, Johanna Brannan Lowe, is an Anglo expat and wanted to throw a soirée that reminded her of home. So there will be royal pies from Pleasant House Bakery (which are out-of-control good), mulled wine, and traditional English Christmas crackers with cards inside that offer discounts at the store. Oh, and while you’re there, you can browse the awesome vintage gifts there (’60s-era etched glass barware, English cake stands, painted platters, etc.). Brilliant!
