Kissen Studio Pillow

Fat Tuesday may be behind us, but it’s not too late to bring a little Mardi Gras home. Yes, you read me right. I never in a million years thought I’d want to bring anything inspired by the craziness of that celebration into my home, either. But then I saw this embroidered linen pillow from Chicago artist Emily Moser. Her online shop, Kissen Studio, is full of colorful creations: pillow cases, journals, and fun jewelry. For this pillow, Moser used Mardi Gras colored floss (gold, purple, and green) to embroider a star that’s both simple and eye-catching. Her other pillow designs include 3D blocks, origami birds, and paper airplanes—all in bright hues. Making her pillows even more irresistible is that they’re all on sale right now; to make room for her new 2013 line, Moser has marked them all down by 30 to 40 percent.
