Sales at Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, Hästens, and Vintage Pine

Hello, Mitchell and Bob!

Ready to invest in some quality pieces you’ll enjoy for years to come? Ready to save some money on these pieces? Hit the ever-stylin’, ever-reliable Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, where select floor samples and stock items are 30 to 60 percent off and special order upholstery and case goods are discounted by 20 percent. Once you’ve done your shopping, go to YouTube and check out MGBW’s video “The Diversity Dinner.” You just might be inspired. The winter clearance event lasts through January 27 at the Lincoln Park store, 1555 N. Halsted St. (at Clybourn), 312-397-3135.

Luxe Beds, Dreamy Prices

If you’re taking advantage of all the white sales going on and buying fresh bedding, it seems silly to put the new sheets on a 10-year-old saggy mattress. Luckily for you, this is the one time every year when Hästens discounts its showroom floor samples by 30 percent to make room for 2013 samples. This is your chance to get a handmade, all-natural bed from Sweden for almost a third of its original price. Yes, they’re still pricey (the Frame Superia II queen went from $9,740 to $6,818) but all come with a 25-year warranty. That means you won’t need a new bed until 2038! Test one out at Chicago Luxury Beds, 440 N. Wells St. And if Hästens doesn’t do it for you, Chicago Luxury Beds has marked down lots of other beds by up to 40 percent. Don’t snooze on this offer—the sale only lasts until the end of the month.

Worth Pining For

If you’ve been to the Whole Foods near North and Clybourn, there’s no way you could have missed Vintage Pine (904 W. Blackhawk St., 312-943-9303). It’s the huge warehouse-sized décor store right across the street. Well if you haven’t been inside, now’s the time to go because they’re having a winter warehouse sale the entire month of January. Everything in Vintage Pine is marked down between 15 and 60 percent. And I mean everything: tables, chairs, armoires, chests, buffets, entertainment centers, mirrors, lamps, accessories, and holiday décor.
