Mar 1, 2013Join All the Cool Artisans at Sawbridge Studio’s 20th BirthdayBy Alice Oglethorpe
A birthday celebration is the perfect time to demand to be the center of attention. But the owners of Sawbridge Studios (897 Green Bay Rd., Winnetka, 847-441-2441) wanted to do something a little less self-centered for the store’s 20th anniversary. So they invited some favorite North Shore artists and craftsmen to host trunk shows all around the shop.
Stop by Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to see the latest work by Marie Roth, whose reclaimed-wood flags are shown here, printmaker Dennis O’Malley, and furniture craftsman Zachary Harms. On top of that, 15 percent of the proceeds from the weekend’s sales will go to the American Craft Exposition, which raises funds for breast and ovarian cancer research.
