The Cowhide FLORug: Handsome in a Room, Harmless to a Cow

When I think of FLOR, the modular carpet company based here in Chicago, I tend to think of boldly colored blocks. Pretty? Yes. But a little too modern for my home.

So when I happened to browse through their new spring 2013 line, I was excited to see this amazing cowhide FLORug (a design sold in a set size as opposed to by the square). It has the rustic chic look that I’m currently obsessed with, but with the bonus of knowing that no animals were harmed.

It’s also only $291 for a 6’7” by 7’5” design—much cheaper than the other cowhide rugs I’ve been eyeing. See the new line (which also includes a nice chevron that would look fabulous in a kitchen) at their flagship store at 1873 North Clybourn.
