Design Lover’s Guide to this Week’s Holiday Events

For the vintage-lover on your list, shop the Pop Shop (525 Lincoln Ave., Winnetka) hosted by Arch Vintage and Classic Remix. Doors will be open Wednesday November 28 through Saturday, December 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jewelry, furniture, lighting, barware and seasonal décor will be in stock.

Unison (2000 W. Fulton St., Studio F-109) is having one hip, holiday gathering this Thursday, November 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. Preview the debut of its winter collection of metallic, hand-printed linens while enjoying drinks and appetizers. Special guest Alex Fuller,an illustrator, graphic designer and one of the partners in the studio/gallery/blog The Post Family, will be in attendance. RSVP to jenny@alarmpress.com.

Artsy types may want to hit the Naperville Art League Annual Gallery of Gifts Holiday Show (508 N. Center St., Naperville), open through Saturday, December 15. Find original paintings, pottery, textiles, and more. Open Wednesday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you can’t make it to the gallery, check out the goods online, here. And until December 15, shipping is free on all, which leaves a little extra cash in your pocket. 

The Renegade Craft Fair Holiday Market and Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce are teaming up to create a weekend-long shopping extravaganza. Check out goods by the best and brightest indie makers this weekend, December 1 and 2 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Pulaski Park Fieldhouse. The festive affair will include local eats, boozy beverages, workshops, a photobooth, and a DJ. There will even be a DIY gift-wrap station to make your presents extra pretty.

Sunday, December 2 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., top it all off with 25 percent off at Asrai Garden, an awesome Wicker Park flower shop that has great home decor items and is celebrating its 13th birthday that evening.
