Nov 22, 2012Our New Flame: DiptyqueBy ALICE OGLETHORPE
My big weaknesses this time of year are pumpkin-flavored desserts, sparkly dresses, and fancy scented candles. So it’s perfect timing that this month is when Diptyque is opening up a store at 1645 N. Damen Ave. in Bucktown. The boutique, which is the luxury French company’s fourth U.S. location, throws open its doors on November 23. And, as would be expected, this store is a knockout. The designers took inspiration from Chicago, even featuring wallpaper and fabric designs inspired by Native American tribes from the region. Not into splurging on scented candles? They also sell personal fragrance and body care products, such as shower gel and lotion. Posted Nov. 22, 2012, | Back to all posts |
