The 11th Annual Bowmanville Garden Walk will be held July 11 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The walk features more than 20 residential gardens and three community gardens. Proceeds help improve the neighborhood’s gardens. A $3 donation is suggested for a program booklet. BCOChicago.org

The Bucktown Community Organization is holding the 2009 Bucktown GardenWalk on July 11 and 12 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This year’s walk includes a self-guided tree walk, which highlights more than 50 species of trees. The walk is free, however a guidebook is available for a $5 donation. Proceeds benefit beautification projects within the neighborhood. Bucktown.org

Keep Evanston Beautiful is sponsoring the 20th annual Evanston Garden Walk on July 12 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Proceeds support environmental education programs within the community. Advance KEB member tickets are $10 and advance non-member tickets are $15, and can be purchased through the Evanston Ecology Center (2024 McCormick Blvd., Evanston, 847-448-8256). The exhibit showcases a three-story modular home that is both sustainable and innovative.
