Best of the New: Antiques Market

Highwood

Image Pilots, the producers behind the West Loop’s Randolph Street Market, the hugely popular summer-weekend antiquers’ paradise, took their show on the road last year and debuted a new version of the event in Highwood. Plopped down in grassy Everts Park, behind the town’s library, the fair quickly became a North Shore hot spot for vintage-treasure hunting. Fittingly, given the size of the stately homes in surrounding communities, you’ll see big stuff here—repurposed farm and factory equipment, outdoor furniture, wrought-iron headboards, planters, and rugs galore. The market picks up for the 2011 season on June 26. 102 Highwood Ave., Highwood, 312-666-1200, randolphstreetmarket.com/highwoodstreetmarket
