We dare you to I.D. one of our favorite boutiques, I.D. Is it a furniture and accessories store? Fragrances? Eyewear? "It's identity," says Steven Burgert (below), who opened the shop six years ago with his partner, Anthony Almaguer. With gallery-worthy displays of modern furniture, tabletop items, lighting, original artwork, handbags, pet goods, designer eyeglasses, and more, I.D. is an irresistible blend of high design and surprisingly low prices. The store unveils new merchandise every month because "identity is about change," Burgert says. "People don't want to be stagnant."
